 In both World Wars Indian army from all parts of the country was involved and
they were trained and practiced the art of fighting in major conflicts

 Indian army fought bravely along with allied forces at both the western and
eastern fronts
Note
 The British who gave them various medals and honors for their services recognized
the bravery of Indian soldiers.

 In view of the participation in the world war, Indian army had the experience of
fighting modern warfare

 India contributed to the war effort of Britain not only by sending troops but also
money and material
 In the Second World War II also Indian army took active role along with British
side

 The war was fought between the allied troops of Britain, France, Soviet Union
on one side and Axis powers comprising of Germany, Italy and Japan on the
other side.
 The Second World War was also fought in all theatres and Indian army was
utilized in all places
