4.2.2 The Structure of Indian Navy Role of the Forces

The Indian Navy is divided into three commands

Each Naval Command is headed by a Flag Officer Commanding in chief (FOC-in-
C). His rank is Vice Admiral.

4.2.3 Organisation of The Indian Navy

The Navy is broadly divided into the following branches:
